Virginia Off-Road Road Map

Our Road Map to create the best off-road community possible.

Virginia Off-Road Road Map

This is our future projects Road Map for the 501c3 organization. It’s in no particular date order. Some projects may take longer than others.

Mobile Application

We are building a mobile application for iOS and Android and plan to have for members in the Spring of 2026. The app will reature all the VA Trails, trial map, allow users to update trail conditions and status, get directions form you current location, see out community and organizaiton impact stats, find our eduction courses, collect digital member badges for the membership directory, update your profile, change your password, see upcoming events, send private messages between members that are encypted (even to Bigfoot), check trail alerts like closed trails and routes, submit an adopt-a-trail cleanup, send an SOS to our SOS team and check trails your rig can handle. It will be avaiable to all 4WD Low members, Lifetime and Bigfoot Members.

New Member Portal

We are desiging a new member protal which will work hand in hand with the mobile app. You can do a lot of the same functions in addition to see what our mascots Bigfoot and Racoon are up to when they aren’t hitting the ABC store, lol. We plan to launch the new member portal around the same time as the mobile application and it will provide a second way to manage your account and communicate to members without use of cell messaging.

Off Road Park

We are still working on a few avenues to have access to our own Off Road Park. We are actively working to secure a property to lease and to generate additional funding in the ways of grants and sponsorships to purchase our own land to build a private park for members. While this is a long term process, for the short term, we are working on a more short term solution and should have further details coming soon.

Poker Runs

We plan to do a couple of poker runs in 2026 with Trail to Recovery (our Vet division) as well as VAOR as a fundfraiser for the organizations. Details to come.

Festivals & Events

We’re also actively working on have 1-2 festivals throughout each year for members and non members alike. We will have vendors, food trucks, rides in our off road park or public trails, educational workshops, raffles and many other things to go along with the fesitvals. Well start small and work our way up to a size we feel we can comfortably operate and we should have some details soon on at least one fo the events in 2026.

We also are kicking aorund the idea of smaller events for members, things like trial rides, dinners camping and the like too.

We plan to increase the number of trail rides for 2026 and our Trail Guide Leaders will have specific insurance to help cover any liability now that we are growing in numbers.

1,000+ Members

We are just over the half way mark to 1,000 donating members within the organization. Currently at 546 members, our ultimate goal is to have over 1,000+ members in the Commonwelath that support the operations, the clean ups, the education and other things we need volunteers for to keep our organization going strong.

National Organization

We have created a national verison of VAOR called US OffRoad, its the ‘mothership’ of what we will be doing. The national org will mostly focus on the technology that we have like the mobile app and member portal, managings the various state chapters with regard to their branding and any national projects liek trail cleanups and education, help state chapter grow with marketing, getting national sponsors for the organizations and much more. Each state organization will be it’s own 501c3 or 501c7, ran by their own directors and board, but they will report to the national org with membership numbers. Each state will have branding similar to each other and the national org will oversee that state chapters are falling in line with branding, making sure their bylaws are in good standing order and help any chapter that needs marketing support.

VAOFFROAD and NCOFFROAD will be exempt from any dues to the national organization.

State Chapters

Virginia Off-Road is now the Flagship chapter of the national organization, US Off-Road, yet still being completely independant with their own EIN’s and boards. Right now, North Carolina Off-Road and Florida Off-Road are in the process of being built by their own non-profits and a few other people have expressed intrest in starting similar chapters in their own states.

Nothing will change in the way of VAOR, in fact VAOR will be leading the way in how those organizations will run, so you may see other state member badges and similar trail badges fromother states in the future, they’re part of the family just like our members are, so say hi to the if you see them!
