Our mission is to promote responsible wheeling, protect and preserve trail access, and provide education and resources that support safe, sustainable off-road recreation for all.

Nope, we’re not a Facebook group or a local group of guys just wanting to hang out, we’re much more.
Virginia Off Road is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity, which means we rely entirely on public funding through donations to operate. Donations made to our organization are generally tax-deductible, though we recommend consulting a tax professional for guidance on how this applies to your individual situation.
It’s important to note that not all organizations in the off-road or recreation space are 501(c)(3) public charities like ours. Some are classified as 501(c)(7) social or recreational clubs. These are typically funded by membership dues or sponsors, and contributions made to them are generally not tax-deductible.
As a 501(c)(3), anyone can join us for free to support the cause and we have many volunteer positions where you can help out.
2WD Club – It’s a free and basic membership that gives you access to purchase badges, come along with trail rides and get our occaisonal newsletter.
4WD High is a paid membership that also gives you the vinyl badge, and a few added perks like being able to enter contests and giveaways.
4WD Low gives you full acess to the member portal, a physical badge, free trail badges as you complete them (although we ask for $1 to cover shipping) and sponsorship perks.
Lifetime Membership – only avaiabile during select times of the year and in limited quanities, this one time pay gives you access for life and offeres a full suite of perks including a special lifetime badge.

You’re always in control of your support—there’s no commitment, and you can cancel at any time. If you ever decide to stop your monthly donation, just send us a quick email at joshua@vaoffroad.org, and we’ll take care of it promptly with no questions asked. We’re grateful for every bit of support, no matter how long it lasts.

Donating members at $24 yr will get the general member vinyl badge and they can purchase trail badges in the Trail Badge Shop.
Donating members at $60 yr will also get the vinyl general member badge, be able to purchase the physical badge and they will earn FREE Trail badges as they complete them.You can get them FREE in the member portal.
Lifetime members get both a vinyl and physical badge and they will earn FREE Trail badges as they complete them. You can still get a Lifetime Membership for $250, here.
You can support us by donating your time!
We have a volunteer page where you can join us for various things that we do, from cleaning up the trails and making sure they are in great shape fo rall to enjoy, to leading various trail meetups we do, heading up coffee and dinner gatherings, working with our Vet program, Trail to Recovery or something different, we would be happy to have you help us!
You can also join us completely free should you wish, although you have limited perks and access to our programs.
