Virginia Off-Road offers educational courses for all levels, newbies to true experts. Using the American Off-Road Standards Institue’s benchmarks, we are pleased to offer great educational content.

Below you will find our current course content, ranging from easy to the most difficult.
Off Road Explorers (Kids)
Our kids program guides elementary classrooms through trail stewardship and 4WD use on the trail.
Off Road 101 Course
This beginner course gives you a very high level overview of off roading in the Commonwealth, shows you some of the tech in your rigs and prepares you to this the trails.
Leave No Trace Behind
This course explores ways to help keep the enviroment clean while still having fun on the trails. Its a great course for those wanting more insights on trail stewardship.
EV Off-Road Course
EV’s are still new to the Off Road Community, while the tech isn’t 100% there yet with taking them off pavement, we explore the pros and cons of taking an EV rig off the path onto the trails.
Intro To Overlanding
This course helps you better understand overlanding and the challenges facing this sport. While slightly different than off roading, we explore overlanding and help prepare you for the long distance travel.
Off Road OHV Course
The OHV course is deisgned for our two wheeled friends in mind. Focusing on the unique aspects of taking your bike off road, it’s a great course for those wanting to get into the sport.
TrailMaster Certification
The gold standard in courses, our TrailMaster course challenges your mind and proves that you have what it takes to conquer the trails in Virginia and beyond!
Master the Terrian
For those wanting to brang about their off road knowledge, we have a master course just for you. Only 6% of people that take the course pass on the first try. This course is the hardest that you will take at Virginia Off-Road.
