If you’re already part of a local off-road club in Virginia or the surrounding region, you know the magic that happens when like-minded people get together to hit the trails. Whether you’re running Bald Mountain, crawling up Potts Jeep Trail, or just gathering for burgers and stories after a ride, the camaraderie and local knowledge are second to none.
And that’s exactly why I want to introduce you to VAOffRoad.org.
Let me be clear from the start: we’re not here to replace your club. VA Off-Road was created to support local groups, highlight trails, educate newcomers, reward exploration, and unify the broader off-road community across the state. We believe that when local clubs thrive, everyone wins.

Supporting, Not Competing
Local groups are the heartbeat of Virginia’s off-road scene. You know your trails, your people, and your local challenges. VA Off-Road isn’t trying to take your place. Instead, we aim to offer tools and resources that can amplify what you already do so well.
From a statewide directory of off-road groups to downloadable trail guides and GPS info, our platform exists to help you and your members do more of what you love.

What VAOffRoad.org Offers:
- Trail Guides: Real trail data from real off-roaders. Including difficulty levels, GPS routes, and pictures.
- Trail Badge Program: Members earn digital and physical badges for trails they conquer and cleanups they support.
- Community Connection: A place where multiple local clubs can share experiences and ideas.
- Member Benefits: From gear discounts to giveaways and educational events.
- Nonprofit Status: As a 501(c)(3), all donations and memberships are tax deductible and go directly toward trail conservation, education, and community building.

Trail Collaboration, Not Territory
We highlight the most popular and scenic trails across Virginia — and we always want to credit local riders and groups who help keep these places open and respected. If your group wants to see one of your go-to trails featured, we want to work with you.
Let’s shine a light on your favorite trail together.
For Just $24 a Year (Sometimes Less), Members Get:
- Welcome trail badge
- Member-only trail maps and content
- Trail badge program access
- Volunteer and community involvement
- Club and group recognition on our platform
- The knowledge they’re helping protect trails and promote responsible wheeling
And yes, we regularly offer promo codes that drop that price even lower. Everything goes back into the mission.
Also, you can join for FREE, but you only get an occasional newsletter and the option to purchase badges.
We’re Building the Future — Literally
VA Off-Road is actively developing plans for a statewide off-road park based on member input. We’ve launched surveys, connected with land use officials, and are advocating for more off-road access every day. This is your chance to have a voice in what gets built next.

Want to Work With Us?
If you’re a group leader or member of a local club, we’d love to collaborate. From group listings and shared events to cleanup partnerships and giveaways, there’s room for all of us in this growing community.
We can highlight your group on our website, list your events, and recognize your members for their contributions. Want a custom badge for your club’s home trail? Let’s talk.

Final Thoughts
You don’t have to leave your club to join VA Off-Road.
You just have to believe that off-roading is better when we all work together.
Thanks for taking a moment to learn more about what we’re building. If you love off-roading and want to help preserve access to the trails we all love, become a member. We’d be proud to have you.
See you out there,
— The VAOffRoad.org Team
